The Chevy Volt is selling

General Motors is adding roughly 200 workers at its Detroit-Hamtramck Chevy Volt factory in anticipation of increasing its production rate in July when the plant adds the 2013 Chevrolet Malibu.
It's good to see the Chevy plant hiring workers. Slower-than-expected Volt sales had caused the factory to schedule a five-week shutdown in April. But thanks to changing market conditions, including a sales surge in California (where the Volt is allowed in high-occupancy-vehicle lanes), the automaker now has a shortage of Volts in California.
