Children’s Shoe Recall Pushes Expecting Parents to Buy American-Made

Babble.com, a website “for a new generation of parents,” covers a variety of topics related to pregnancy and adoption. Today the focus shifted to the importance of buying American-made goods as a family health issue.
Recently, 1,700 children’s shoes made in China were recalled due to health concerns. Babble.com's Aela Mass says that buying American-made now looks to be a better option, not only for the nation’s job market but for family health.
In 2012 alone, 9 times more Chinese-made products were recalled than U.S.-made.
Mass wrote: “Not only does buying American help reduce the chances of bringing home an unsafe toy for little Mason, but it also stimulates our economy and helps create jobs.”
