Buddy Roemer (R)
Buddy Roemer is President and CEO of Business First Bank in Baton Rouge and served as the 52nd Governor of Louisiana from 1988-1992. Prior to serving as Governor, Roemer was a member of the U.S. House of Representatives representing Louisiana’s 4th congressional district from 1981-1988. He holds a MBA from Harvard Business School.

Buddy Roemer took on China in a campaign speech outside the Chinese Embassy. Stating that free trade with China was the root of our economic problems, Roemer attacked the foreign tax credit and tax breaks for businesses that ship jobs overseas.
Roemer has pledged to make manufacturing jobs the center of his campaign.
