Gina Locklear, the daughter of the sock company Emi-G’s founders, continued her family’s legacy by starting her own sock copmany in 2009 with a unique angle: manufacturing certified organic socks while using sustainable practices. Preserving the great textile tradition of the Sock Capital of the World, Fort Payne, Alabama, all Zkano socks are Made in America from start to finish. Martha Stewart living gave Locklear its American-made award in 2015, and in 2016 The New York Times dubbed her the “Sock Queen of Alabama” in a feature story on her success.
