Executive order initiates pipeline approval
President Donald Trump signed executive orders Tuesday to revive the controversial Dakota Access and Keystone XL oil pipelines. The president said that both pipeline projects will be subject to renegotiation and should be built using American-made products.
Said Alliance for American Manufacturing President Scott Paul:
“The president outlined a robust Buy America standard for pipelines in America. Such standards ensure America's infrastructure is Made in America, which creates jobs and boosts our economy.
"Buy America preferences should be applied to all pipelines, energy and water, as well as all future infrastructure projects.”
