In addition to serving as AAM’s Deputy Director, Mr. Cooper is also Assistant Professor of Constitutional Law at George Mason University School of Law and Senior Fellow with the National Center for Public Policy Research.

For more than a decade, Mr. Cooper worked on Capitol Hill, including serving as Counsel to House Majority Leader Richard K. Armey from 1999-2001. In the President George W. Bush administration, he has served as Deputy Director of the U.S. International Broadcasting entity, the Voice of America, and as Chief of Staff and Counsel for the U.S. Department of Labor’s Employment Standards Administration.

Mr. Cooper is also a print columnist and frequent guest on radio and television news programs, discussing current political events, issues and trends. He holds a B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin and a J.D. from George Mason University School of Law.
