New tariffs on furniture? No problem! We’ve got everything from dining tables to light fixtures, all Made in America.

Are you currently looking for new furniture? If you are, you may want to know that on Thursday, President Trump announced new tariffs on imported furniture. Specifically, he is levying a 50% tariff on “imported kitchen cabinets, bathroom vanities, and associated products” and a 30% tariff on imported upholstered furniture beginning Oct. 1. But there’s no need for panic! We’ve brought together a list of Made in USA furniture companies, including companies that sell Made in USA, high-quality alternatives to the products that will have tariffs placed on them.

Interior Crafts Inc.

We couldn’t make a furniture list without shouting out some union-made furniture! The high-quality pieces that Interior Crafts Inc. produces are all made by United Steelworkers in Chicago. Indeed, the company has had a union workforce since its founding in 1951, and they take great pride in the fact that their furniture is still made the old-fashioned way. Interior Crafts does not sell any products online, but you can check their website for fabric samples, examples of their furniture and showroom locations where you can purchase the furniture. Just remember to review the product information at these showrooms to verify sourcing.

Pompanoosuc Mills

Handmade wooden furniture built to last for decades? Sign us up! The folks over at Pompanoosuc Mills (or Pompy if you have trouble remembering) have been handcrafting furniture from the best of the best lumber products for more than 50 years. You can find beds, couches, desks and more on the Pompanoosuc Mills website, or you can visit a showroom in person. Outside of their headquarters in Thetford, Vt., you’ll find Pompanoosuc Mills showrooms throughout the Northeast.

And did we mention that if you’re not satisfied with your furniture purchase in the first 30 days, they’ll rebuild it for you at no cost? It should be easy to see why this furniture company has such a loyal fan base! (As a note, stick to the furniture on Pompy’s website. Although bedding and mattresses are up for sale there, they are not Made in the USA like all other Pompy products.).

Norwalk Furniture

If you’re looking for Made in the USA upholstered furniture after those tariffs were announced, our recommendation is Norwalk Furniture. Since 1902, Norwalk Furniture has been handcrafting sofas, chairs, ottomans and more in Norwalk, Ohio. The company focuses on sourcing their components from trusted American suppliers in order to give you the highest quality product possible. Plus, Norwalk Furniture has been employee-owned since 2021! You can feel good about supporting this American-made company that treats its employees right!

Bevolo Gas & Electric Lights

Did you know that you can purchase gas lamps from the same company that’s been making them for New Orleans’ French Quarter since 1945? Bevolo Gas & Electric Lights is a family-owned company that makes all of their copper lamps in La.; but no matter where you live, you can order one of these lights to be installed in your home. These lamps will give your home an incredibly distinct look, and the copper will eventually oxidize into a beautiful shade of green (just like the Statue of Liberty!). If you’re really looking for a big addition to your home, Bevolo Lights are the perfect choice. (Note: Although the copper light fixtures themselves are American-made, we can’t verify that the gas or electric lights inside are.)

Gat Creek Furniture

Berkley Springs, W. Va. is located in the heart of the Appalachian Forest. It’s also where Gat Creek Furniture is headquartered. The company is dedicated to real sustainable manufacturing: All of Gat Creek’s furniture is made from wood sourced from the Appalachian Forest by a select few, trusted suppliers. Gat Creek also uses safer and more environmentally friendly materials to finish their furniture. As a fun touch, whenever you buy a Gat Creek piece, it will be hand signed by the builder who helped make it to order just for you. Gat Creek just opened a new factory last year, so be sure to support this manufacturer that is 100% committed to Made in America!

Krøvel Furniture Co.

Have you seen the floating shelves trend that’s been all the rage recently? You can get American-made floating shelves, bathroom vanities, and more from Krøvel Furniture Co. Floating furniture can help you save a lot of space, which can be valuable if you’re living somewhere smaller or you’re just looking to maximize room in your home. But if you’re not interested in floating furniture, don’t worry: Krøvel offers plenty of classic wood furniture as well. All of Krøvel’s furniture is made from domestically sourced hardwoods in their workshop in Portland, Maine – so those bathroom vanities will be tariff-free!

Jack Gameroom Furniture

We’ve talked a lot about essential furniture, but what about furniture you don’t need, but would still be a fun addition for your home? We’re talking about all of those game room and basement staples: poker tables, billiards, and even theater seats. You’ll find those and more from Jack Gameroom Furniture. Based in Seattle, Jack has plenty of options for whatever you’re looking for. Keep in mind this will probably be a pricier investment, but if you’re really wanting to build out a game room, you can’t do better than this. Just remember to check labels when ordering from Jack’s website: they sell some third-party products that are not made in the USA.

This is only a small selection of the Made in USA furniture you can find on the market today. Do you have any companies we missed? Let us know by emailing [email protected]! We may feature them in a future article!
