The Alliance for American Manufacturing’s 2025 Made in America Gift Guide launches on Nov. 12. Share why you want to buy more American-made!
Hop on the internet for a little online shopping or walk through your local mall, and you’re absolutely inundated with imports. So, why buy Made in America? No surprise here — we’re big fans. But what does the label mean to you?
On Nov. 12, the Alliance for American Manufacturing is launching its 2025 Made in America Holiday Gift Guide to shine a well-deserved spotlight on the companies that invest in America by keeping their production right here. It’s one of our favorite projects all year and can give a meaningful boost to these businesses and the workers they support!
And we know that we’re not alone in loving a Made in America story! According to a poll conducted by Morning Consult on behalf of the Alliance for American Manufacturing (AAM) last November, 77% of respondents said they prefer to purchase Made in USA items for holiday gifts.
That’s a big pool of possible consumers for American manufacturers to tap into, but here’s the challenge: Made in America companies just don’t have the ad budget that importers do. Exhibit A: Temu poured BILLIONS of dollars into three Super Bowl ads in 2024!
Here are some more stats from that 2024 poll that show why we need to shout far and wide that we want to see more American-made options in stores: an overwhelming majority of shoppers — 82% — said they would buy more Made in America products if they were sold more widely by large retailers. In fact, 60% of poll respondents said they made a conscious effort to buy something Made in USA over the year.
Our 2025 Made in America Holiday Gift Guide aims to remove some of the friction that keeps shoppers from buying American-made this season, but we need your help! Tell retailers why you want to see Made in America products on store shelves or featured online! Here’s what AAM President Scott Paul had to say.
