Popular American-made gifts include the KitchenAid stand mixer (left) and Little Tikes Cozy Coupe, both made in Ohio, along with an assortment of colorful dishware from Fiesta, which is manufactured in West Virginia.

The holidays are quickly approaching, which means it’s almost time for our annual gift guide — and we need your help.

Halloween is almost here, which means that the holiday shopping season will soon be upon us!

Here at the Alliance for American Manufacturing (AAM), we are working on putting together our annual Made in America Holiday Gift Guide, which showcases American-made gift ideas from all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico.

This is our eighth year putting together the gift guide. Over the years, some of our best ideas have come from folks like you — and that’s why we are asking for your help again!

Do you have a favorite Made in USA company that you think would be a good fit for the list? Send us an email at [email protected]

While it’s always been important for us at Team AAM to highlight some of the amazing products being manufactured by American workers and companies, this year’s gift guide seems a little different.

I’m sure you’ve seen some of the news coverage about the challenges of holiday gift shopping this year, as shortages and supply chain issues will make it harder to get gifts on store shelves. Decades of offshoring contributed to this problem, as the United States lost much of its capacity to ramp up production in a crisis.

But unfortunately, gifts are the least of our problems. Semiconductor shortages have led to auto factory shutdowns, and you probably remember what happened when the United States faced PPE shortages at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Now the United States is at a turning point. It’s time to ramp up our critical manufacturing and supply chains so we can make the things we need when we need them. And that starts by supporting the American manufacturers who are already here.

It may seem like a small gesture, but buying American-made gifts this season truly will make a difference.

Please help us put together our best-ever Made in America Holiday Gift Guide! Send your gift ideas our way to [email protected].
