Craftsman

An American icon, Craftsman began more than 90 years ago as a house brand for the popular department store Sears. Craftsman quickly developed a reputation for quality, and for decades, Craftsman tool sets could be found in garages and tool sheds all across America. But when Sears offshored Craftsman production to cut costs, it also led to a cut in quality, and sales declined. The struggling retailer eventually sold the brand to Stanley Black & Decker in 2017, who began reshoring Craftsman production, aiming to bring back the high quality that Craftsman customers expect.
