Family-owned and operated, Boardroom Socks is committed to Made in America quality. The company’s founders trace their history in the textile industry to the founding of the family’s original mill in 1837 in rural North Carolina. In 2010, husband and wife Carol and Mike James launched Boardroom Socks in an effort to revive the textile industry that had largely left North Carolina at the turn of the century. Boardroom Socks sews both domestic and imported yarns into their socks, and their production takes place throughout The Tar Heel State.

Since Buck Mason began in 2013, the people behind the apparel company have been committed to manufacturing a portion of the clothes they sell in the United States. That commitment became stronger in 2023 when the company bought two facilities in Berks County, Pennsylvania that were about to close, which helped save many of the original employees’ jobs. Today, Buck Mason sells t-shirts made at these facilities from cotton grown in California, Georgia and Texas.
