Dean Showers joined AAM in 2018 as the regional advocacy coordinator for Alaska, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Colorado, Oklahoma, and Texas. Dean worked for over 40 years in the steel industry in Pennsylvania as a department operator for a fully automated steel coatings line As a member of the United Steelworkers he held many positions in his local union including local president for over 20 years.
Dean studied labor relations at Penn State University Berks campus and the George Meany National Labor College in Maryland.
