Diego Olivieri

Public Policy Fellow

Diego Oliveri is a Public Policy Fellow at the Alliance for American Manufacturing. He is a United States Marine Veteran and a recipient of the Posse Veterans Scholarship to attend Wesleyan University, where Diego double-majored in Latin American Studies and Education Studies and minored in Human Rights Advocacy. Between his military service and undergraduate studies, Diego worked in restaurants and warehouses while attending community college. During his undergraduate studies, Diego completed a six-month study abroad program at Universidad de Los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia, as part of his Latin American Studies degree. As a Human Rights Advocate, He focused on Economic, Social, and Cultural Rights, especially those tied to the right to organize at work. Diego completed his Master of Arts in International Policy and Development at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies in Monterey, California, where he focused on fair trade, supply chains, working conditions, and their connections to a country’s economic and national security. This Fellowship at the Alliance for American Manufacturing combines Diego’s prior work experience and university education in mission-driven work aimed at strengthening U.S. manufacturing and advocating for the American workers who forged this country together and work tirelessly to keep the roof over our heads. Diego’s favorite made-in-America product is Wilson Footballs made in Ada, Ohio.
