Kyndal Sowers

Intern

Kyndal is a senior at The Ohio State University majoring in political science with a minor in public policy. Prior to joining AAM, Kyndal was a John Glenn Fellow in the Washington Academic Internship Program (WAIP), an Ohio State program that sends students to Washington, D.C. to work and study for a semester. During this program, Kyndal interned with Nucor Public Affairs. At Nucor, she monitored legislation and Congressional hearings on a number of issues affecting the steel industry and assisted in hearing preparation for Nucor executives testifying before Congress.

At Ohio State, Kyndal is an active member of several student organizations, including Politics, Society, and Law Scholars, American Association of University Women, College Democrats, and Delta Zeta Sorority. She also served as a Sexual Civility and Empowerment Ambassador, facilitating workshops for first-year students to prevent sexual violence on campus. Throughout college, Kyndal has been engaged in state and local politics in Ohio, interning for a 2016 Senate campaign and a county political party.

Kyndal was born and raised in Georgetown, Ohio, and comes from a proud union family. She is an amateur gardener, avid iced coffee drinker, and aspiring public servant.
