Leiyaan Alhadi is a senior at The Pennsylvania State University on track to graduate in December 2022 with a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations with a minor in Communication Arts and Sciences. Leiyaan is also a proud member of Sigma Lambda Gamma National Sorority, Inc.
In addition to attending classes, Leiyaan is a group fitness instructor, with a mixed martial arts focus, at Penn State. Leiyaan describes herself as creative, and uses her free time to sketch, paint and do anything that “allows me to stop thinking and focus on the art at hand.”
Leiyaan has a personal connection to American manufacturing, as several close family members have worked in steel mills, and have lived in factory towns. “AAM’s mission definitely hits home for me and I cannot wait to aid that mission,” she said.
Leiyaan is Yemeni-American and spent most of her life overseas, and “was blessed enough to have grown up in a very diverse community that gave me the open mindset I have today,” she said.
