Washington, D.C. – The White House on Wednesday announced that Livia Shmavonian will serve as the next Made in America Director at the Office of Management and Budget.

Shmavonian takes on the new position after working at the International Trade Administration at the Commerce Department, where she served as Director of Legislative and Intergovernmental Affairs and Senior Advisor to the Under Secretary. Previously, she worked as staff director for the Senate Finance Subcommittee on International Trade, Customs, and Global Competitiveness and served as a senior advisor to Sen. Bob Casey (D-Pa.).

Alliance for American Manufacturing President Scott Paul said:

“Livia Shmavonian is a great choice for the Made in America Director role. She brings experience and a depth of knowledge on manufacturing issues to an important job, and at a critical time for implementation of Build America, Buy America.

“We look forward to working with Livia and others in the Biden administration to ensure that we maximize opportunities to reinvest taxpayer dollars back into American workers, businesses, and communities. Together, we can build a future that is truly Made in America.”
