Manufacturing Gains 27,000 Jobs in July

Washington, D.C. – Factories gained 27,000 jobs in July, according to new figures released on Friday by the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Gains were mostly seen in durable goods manufacturing, which added 20,000 jobs.

The overall sector remains down 433,000 jobs since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in February 2020.

Alliance for American Manufacturing President Scott Paul said:

“Let’s keep this factory momentum going by investing in our nation’s infrastructure and ensuring our clean energy future is Made in America.”
