Washington, D.C. — A new video profiles the U.S. apparel manufacturers behindTeam USA’s Opening and Closing Ceremony uniforms at the Milano-Cortino 2026 Winter Olympics and illustrates why U.S. manufacturing is critical to our nation’s competitiveness.
Since 2008, iconic American design house Ralph Lauren has committed to producing Team USA’s Olympics uniforms with a robust U.S. supply chain that meets the patriotism of the moment.
U.S. manufacturers spotlighted at the Olympics:
- Family-owned, women-owned and union-represented, Ferrara Manufacturing has been an Olympics partner with Ralph Lauren since 2014 and crafted this year’s Opening Ceremony toggle coat and pants. The Long Island City apparel manufacturer’s reputation for high-end tailoring has earned it work with luxury labels and made it a mainstay of New York’s wholesale fashion industry.
- Better Team USA of Clifton, N.J., is renowned for its 100% Made in the USA technical outerwear and was contracted by Ralph Lauren for the third consecutive winter games. This year, the third-generation Italian American family business produced Team USA’s Closing Ceremony puffer jacket.
- In Los Angeles, knitwear manufacturer Andari’s cutting-edge 3D knitting technology produces garments in one entire piece, reducing waste. Its solar-powered factory knitted Team USA’s Opening and Closing Ceremony sweaters and hats this year.
- Oregon’s Shaniko Wool Company has built a system of 10 regenerative family ranches to produce the American wool for the Opening Ceremony toggle coat, sweaters, pants, hats and mittens.
“America’s athletes and workers are the best in the world,” Alliance for American Manufacturing President Scott Paul said. “The network of manufacturers that Ralph Lauren stitched together for the Winter Olympics is just a sample of our nation’s robust domestic supply chain and manufacturing innovation. When Team USA enters the Opening Ceremony, they represent the best of the United States, both in sports and industry.”
Average hourly earnings for all U.S. manufacturing employees were $36.07 as of December 2025, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Every $1 spent in domestic manufacturing generates $2.69 in total economic activity, according to the National Institute of Standards and Technology.
The Ralph Lauren Team USA Collection is available online and in stores.
