There are lots of reasons to purchase a Made in America product – including quality.

Are you done with your holiday shopping yet?

Well, if you aren’t (don’t worry, I’m not either) might I suggest heading over to the 2017 Made in America Holiday Gift Guide for some last-minute ideas? Or, you can visit our recently launched Made in America Directory to check out hundreds of great companies that manufacture their products in the United States.

And if you need any more convincing why buying an American-made product matters, check out the video below:

There are lots of reasons to purchase consumer goods that are Made in the USA.

Doing so supports companies that create jobs and boost the local economy. It’s better for the environment, since American companies have to comply by stricter guidelines than manufacturers in places like China. It also takes a stand against sweatshop labor.

But as the video notes, American-made goods are often the best on the market, making everything from the greatest hoodie ever to the best hiking socks to top-of-the-line cookware to pioneering eco-friendly toys to the best messenger bag.

We know it's not always possible to find American-made products out there, especially when shopping at many of the big box stores that dominate much of the retail marketplace these days. But we hope that resources like the annual gift guide and the directory help shine a spotlight on companies that are keeping it Made in America, and we encourage you to check them out.
