American copper cookware production had all but disappeared, but Sara Dahmen was inspired to bring it back to life after doing research for a historical fiction novel she was writing. House Copper & Cookware creates fine cookware to recreate the American kitchen of the pioneer past, using organic materials and oils. To make their products, the company uses local and American wood, foundries, and forges.
