We’ve screened the movie in the industrial heartland — but we need your help to get it to a wider audience!
The Alliance for American Manufacturing team is in Washington, D.C., this week, as we are attending the 2024 United Steelworkers Rapid Response Legislative and Policy Conference. We screened the documentary film “Relighting the Flame” for USW members on Tuesday, and also unveiled a new digital toolkit that has everything YOU need to show the movie in your community.
Directed by the award-winning filmmaker Carl Kriss, “Relighting the Flame” tells the hopeful story of how a new generation of workers are rebuilding and strengthening America’s steel industry. Aside from the conference, we’ve screened the movie for audiences in Cleveland, Ohio and Chesterton, Ind., and it’s available to watch for free on YouTube.
But we want to make sure as many people as possible get an opportunity to view the movie — which is where we need your help!
We’ve created a digital toolkit to help people like you host a “Relighting the Flame” screening of your own. The 26-minute movie is a perfect fit as a meeting topic for unions or civic organizations, for example. It also might make for a nice discussion at your neighborhood book club (just switch out a book for the movie!) or even something that could be shown in an educational setting like a high school or community college.
The digital toolkit has everything you need to host your screening, including a downloadable invitation; a social share graphic; discussion points; and even classroom curriculum. We also included a number of tips to help make your screening a success! Find the toolkit here.
